Where a person has very limited use of their hands through such impacts as MS, Strokes, Motor Neurone Disease, high level quadriplegics etc, they do not have the ability to summon assistance using the normal alarm systems utilising press buttons.
An inability to communicate or seek assistance when needed leaves the person living a very isolated existence. Carers of these people need to continually check on the person to see if they require assistance.
HOW THE ALARM WORKS TO OVERCOME THE PROBLEM.
DCT ASSOCIATES PTY LTD have developed a voice operated alarm system that enables people in the above categories to summon assistance by using their voice. The alarm is generally impervious to normal noises within a room and will not react to sharp noises such as banging doors.
The voice alarm can interface into a variety of alarm indicators such as nurse call systems, radio transmitters etc.
The alarm has a back up battery used to provide power in case of a power failure. Where a radio transmitter is part of the alarm, the battery enables to alarm to be taken away from the power point such as outside the house or room and still enable the person to summon assistance.
Generally two weeks after placement of order.
Virtually no installation required.
The alarm can be purchased outright or can be rented over a 12 month or 24 month period with a residual at the end of the rental period.
Rental provided through Our Rental Company. Terms and Conditions Apply.
